Forest Bathing
“I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees” - Henry David Thoreau
Based in Stirling, Scotland, Wild Pines offers forest bathing and nature connection events across the Forth Valley region and Central Belt
What is forest bathing?
Forest bathing, also known as Shinrin Yoku, involves immersing oneself in nature and ‘bathing’ in the atmosphere of the woodland to promote health and wellbeing and enhance nature connection. These guided sessions offer a series of invitations designed to help you slow down, engage your senses, and connect with the sights, sounds, scents and textures of the forest.

“I don't know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?”
